Mercedes Benz is a world-class company who expects the best. Tight suspension, perfect handling, beautiful interiors and sleek styling make up this company's brand. Our friend Adam Kurtz has been responsible for photographing the beautiful interior and exterior shots you see on mbusa.com and in print catalogs.
Adam now uses the Panoscan camera to expose 360 degree interior shots for the virtual experience on mbusa.com. He takes several interior exposures of the entire cabin, then moves around the vehicle and individually lights and shoots each piece of the dash, floorboard, seating and windows. Bowen Imagery's job is to take the base image and patch together each individual shot to make a beautiful, seamless final product which ends up on the website or print catalog.

alchemy of layout–turning snoozy material into something you can't put down
Solutions House turned to Bowen Imagery on this project in need of an authentic, believable and fun creative solution for a 60-page book—all within a week.
The "Travel Diary" concept was dreamed up by the ingenious David Dauman and his crew. The book takes on the seemingly dry subject of behavioral psychology and transforms it into an interesting, image-heavy diary that appears to have been taken through Africa on many safari adventures.
To achieve the authentic effect, we purchased a few quality hand-written fonts from veer. For this project the scanner was our prized-possession. Scanning pages from my sketchbook became the background image of the entire book. Adding to the effect were a series of dirt, grass and leaf stains strategically placed on different pages with the addition of scanned scotch and yellow tape around the photos. A series of scratches, ink blots and cup ring stains also added to the effect and hand-sketched scenes of the savannah really brought home the mood.

clearwater gets a tase of Paris
Josselyn Boudett and Jean-Claude Smedia of Le Coeur de Paris have a big vision for Clearwater, FL. This little town is going through some major upgrades—downtown, along the waterfront and beyond. Josselyn and Jean-Claude's vision started as a "wouldn't that be great!" idea and within weeks it became their reality.
Due for a presentation in 3 days, they hired Bowen Imagery to dream up a presentation for the 40 investors lined-up to see the concept. Using scanned images from Jean-Claude's books and a few stock images, we built a "virtual" display of how the restaurant would feel and look. Sandy Cromp of dcdeziner.com referred us for the job, thanks Sandy!

a new dawn for solutions house
I recently took a trip up to Tarpon Springs to talk to my friend David Dauman, principal of Solutions House. In conversation, he asked me to critique his new logo design for the next phase of his company. In doing so, my critique turned into an idea, which turned into execution, which turned into David's new logo.
My advice was to keep the same elements from the old logo and bend them into a new composition which would help to modernize his current logo and add the feeling of forward motion. The result is a modern, dynamic mark that holds the company's identity.

new energy, new medicine
Innersource continues to evolve with their vision. The classic Energy Medicine book has been revised and revamped along with the supplemental DVD. Our job on this project was to come up with a visual treatment synonymous with the cover art of the book. Using simple bright patterns over a white background, we created an attractive bright, energetic cover that matches the new look.
